These Terms form a legally binding contract between you and JDM State Motors of NC LLC ("Company," "We," "Us," or "Our"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must immediately discontinue use of this Website and must not place an order.
By completing checkout and submitting an order, you affirm that: (a) you are at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction; (b) you have the legal authority to enter into this agreement; (c) you are purchasing for a lawful purpose; and (d) all information you provide is accurate and truthful.

JDM State Motors of NC LLC is a legally registered limited liability company in the State of North Carolina. We operate as a specialty retailer of used Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) automotive parts and engines, selling exclusively to customers located in the continental United States, Hawaii, and Alaska. We do not ship outside of the United States. All business communications, orders, and disputes are handled through the contact information listed above.
Products, Condition & Descriptions
JDM State Motors of NC LLC specializes in sourcing, importing, and retailing used Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) automotive parts, engines, transmissions, and related components. All products are sourced directly from Japanese auctions, dismantlers, and certified JDM importers.
The categories of products we sell include, but are not limited to, the following:
All products are sold in used condition unless the individual product listing explicitly states "New" or "New Old Stock (NOS)." Used condition means these components have been previously installed and operated in a vehicle. Normal wear, oil residue, surface marks, and minor cosmetic imperfections consistent with age and use are to be expected and do not constitute defects.
Mileage Figures: When mileage is stated in a product listing, it is based on documentation available from the country of origin (Japan). Japan uses the metric system; mileage figures stated in kilometers are converted to miles where applicable. When original documentation is unavailable, the listing will clearly state "Mileage Undocumented." We never fabricate or estimate mileage figures.
Compatibility: Product listings indicate vehicle compatibility to the best of our knowledge. However, it is the buyer's sole responsibility to verify fitment before purchasing. Slight variations in specifications may exist between model years, trim levels, and regional markets.
Orders & Payment
Order Placement
Orders are placed exclusively through our secure Shopify-powered checkout at www.jdmmotorsnc.com. When you submit an order, you receive an automated order confirmation email. This confirmation is an acknowledgment of receipt only and does not constitute acceptance of your order.
We reserve the right to accept or decline any order at our discretion. If we cannot fulfill your order (due to inventory discrepancy, pricing error, or any other reason), we will notify you promptly and issue a full refund of any amount charged.
Accepted Payment Methods
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), PayPal, and other payment methods available at checkout through our Shopify payment processor. All transactions are processed through industry-standard SSL encryption.
Payment is collected at the time of order placement. We do not store your full credit card details on our servers. For full details on accepted payment options, please review our Payment Policy.
Fraud Prevention
To protect our customers and our business, all orders are subject to fraud screening. We may require additional verification such as a government-issued ID or confirmation of billing address before processing certain orders.
Orders flagged as potentially fraudulent may be placed on hold or cancelled. We cooperate fully with law enforcement in cases involving fraudulent transactions. Chargeback fraud and payment disputes filed in bad faith may result in your account being permanently banned and legal action being pursued.
Order Processing Time
Orders are processed within 1–2 business days (Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays). Processing time includes verifying payment, inspecting the item, packaging, and generating shipping labels. You will receive a shipment confirmation email with a tracking number once your order has been dispatched.
Orders placed after 1:00 PM ET on business days, or on weekends and holidays, will begin processing on the next available business day.
Pricing, Currency & Sales Tax
Currency: All prices on this Website are listed and charged exclusively in United States Dollars (USD). We do not display or accept foreign currencies.
Pricing Accuracy: We make every effort to ensure that product prices displayed on the Website are accurate and current. However, pricing errors may occasionally occur. In the event of a pricing error, we will contact you before processing your order and give you the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel for a full refund. We are not obligated to honor pricing errors.
Price Changes: Prices may change at any time without prior notice. The price displayed at the time you complete checkout is the price you will be charged. Promotions and discounts are time-limited and may be withdrawn at any time.
JDM State Motors of NC LLC collects and remits sales tax in compliance with applicable federal and state tax laws, including the South Dakota v. Wayfair, Inc. (2018) ruling and its implementation across all U.S. states. Sales tax is calculated automatically at checkout based on your verified shipping address.
As our business is registered in North Carolina, we collect North Carolina state sales tax (currently 4.75% state + applicable local taxes) on all orders shipped to NC addresses. For orders shipped to other states, sales tax is collected where we have established nexus or are required by state law to collect, including economic nexus thresholds established by individual states.
If you are a tax-exempt entity (e.g., a registered reseller or non-profit organization), you must contact us at jdmstatemotorsofnc@gmail.com prior to placing your order with your state-issued tax exemption certificate. Tax-exempt status cannot be applied retroactively after an order is placed.
Shipping Policy Summary
We ship exclusively within the United States, including the continental 48 states, Hawaii, and Alaska. We do not ship to U.S. territories (e.g., Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands), APO/FPO/DPO military addresses, or any international destination.

Large & Heavy Items (Engines, Transmissions): Due to the size and weight of engines, transmissions, and similar large components, these items may ship via freight (LTL) carrier rather than standard parcel carriers such as UPS or FedEx. Freight shipments are delivered to the curb or dock; liftgate service and inside delivery are the buyer's responsibility and may incur additional charges.
Delivery Timeframes: Estimated delivery windows are provided in good faith based on carrier information and are not guaranteed. JDM State Motors of NC LLC is not liable for delays caused by carriers, weather, natural disasters, strikes, customs inspections, or other events outside of our control.
Refused Shipments: If you refuse delivery of a shipment without prior written authorization from us, the return shipping cost and any applicable restocking fees will be deducted from your refund. Refused shipments without justification may be treated as a cancellation and are subject to our cancellation and refund policies.
Returns & Refunds

Order Cancellations

Before Shipment: Cancellation requests submitted before your order has been shipped will be honored in full. A full refund will be issued to your original payment method within 5–10 business days. After Shipment: Once an order has been shipped and a tracking number has been issued, it cannot be cancelled. In this case, you must follow our standard return process after receiving the item.
Cancellation by Us: We reserve the right to cancel any order at our sole discretion, including due to inventory discrepancies, suspected fraud, pricing errors, or inability to verify payment. In any such case, you will be notified and a full refund will be issued promptly.
Warranty Terms & Disclaimers
Because we sell used automotive components, the nature and extent of any warranty differs from that of new parts. Please read this section carefully.
As-Is Condition: All products are sold in "as-is, where-is" condition unless a specific written warranty is stated directly in the product listing. "As-is" means you accept the part in its current condition, acknowledging the expected wear of a used component.
Limited Warranty (Where Stated): Where a product listing explicitly states a warranty period (e.g., "90-day start-up warranty" for engines), that warranty applies only to the described failure modes for the stated period. Any stated warranty covers only defects not visible or disclosed at the time of sale and does not cover damage resulting from improper installation, misuse, neglect, racing, or use in applications for which the part was not designed.

Dispute Resolution — Good Faith Negotiation: Before initiating any legal proceedings, you agree to contact us first at jdmstatemotorsofnc@gmail.com and give us a reasonable opportunity (at least 30 days) to resolve your concern. We are committed to resolving disputes fairly and efficiently through direct communication.
Binding Arbitration (for Non-California Residents): If a dispute cannot be resolved through direct negotiation, you agree that it shall be submitted to binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than litigation in court. You waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.
