Who We Are
JDM State Motors of NC LLC is a registered North Carolina limited liability company (EIN: 93-4377095) specializing in the direct importation, inspection, and resale of Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) engines, transmissions, and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts. We are headquartered at 1334 Bobbitt Drive, Garner, North Carolina 27529.
We source our inventory directly from Japan, taking full advantage of Japan's strict domestic emission and safety laws, which incentivize vehicle owners to retire cars at relatively low mileage. This means our customers receive engines and transmissions that still have substantial service life remaining — at a fraction of the cost of new or remanufactured alternatives.
Every unit that enters our facility undergoes a detailed visual inspection and compression test before being listed for sale. We serve individual vehicle owners, independent repair shops, performance builders, and dealerships throughout all 50 United States. All orders ship domestically within the United States only — we do not fulfill international orders.

How It Works
From Japan to Your Build
Our supply chain is built for quality control at every step, from initial sourcing in Japan to final delivery at your address.
Units are acquired directly from Japanese dismantlers and auction-grade suppliers, taking advantage of Japan's vehicle retirement cycle that produces low-mileage used parts.
Shipments are cleared through U.S. Customs and received at our Garner, NC facility. All units are logged into inventory upon arrival.
Engines undergo compression testing and visual inspection. Condition notes and available mileage documentation are recorded for each unit individually.
Products are listed on our website with accurate condition descriptions, compatible vehicle fitment information, and any available supporting documentation.
Sold units are carefully packaged and shipped via freight or parcel carrier to the buyer's specified U.S. address, with tracking provided at time of dispatch.

JDM State Motors of NC sells used automotive parts to customers in all 50 states. Because automotive parts regulations vary by state, we provide the following information to help buyers in regulated states make informed decisions.
Emissions-Regulated States
California (CA), New York (NY), Massachusetts (MA), Connecticut (CT), Rhode Island (RI), Washington (WA), Oregon (OR), Vermont (VT), Maine (ME), New Jersey (NJ), Maryland (MD), Pennsylvania (PA), Delaware (DE), Colorado (CO), Virginia (VA), Minnesota (MN), and Nevada (NV) have adopted California Air Resources Board (CARB) emissions standards or have their own state-level requirements.
JDM engines and parts are sourced from the Japanese domestic market and are manufactured to Japanese emissions standards, which differ from U.S. EPA and CARB standards. It is the buyer's sole responsibility to confirm whether a JDM engine or part complies with the emissions requirements in their state and county before purchasing, installing, or registering the vehicle.
JDM State Motors of NC does not warrant or represent that any JDM engine or part will pass emissions testing in any U.S. state. Buyers in emissions-regulated states should consult their state's DMV, a licensed emissions inspector, or a qualified mechanic prior to purchase.
Texas (TX): Texas requires that replacement engines in vehicles subject to emissions testing meet the same model year or newer emissions requirements as the original engine. Buyers in Texas should verify engine year compliance before purchasing a JDM engine for an emissions-tested vehicle.
All other states: Buyers remain responsible for confirming that any purchased part is legally installable in their vehicle under applicable state and local laws, including any county-level emissions or vehicle inspection requirements.
Consumer Protection & Used Parts Laws
Used automotive parts sales in the United States are governed by a combination of federal consumer protection law (including the FTC's regulations on advertising and disclosure) and state-level used parts or salvage laws. JDM State Motors of NC operates in full compliance with North Carolina's applicable statutes and discloses the condition, origin, and documented mileage of all parts as required by applicable law.
