JDM Lexus Transmissions for Sale
Looking for a Lexus transmission that won't leave you guessing about mileage or history? We import ours straight from Japan, and every unit gets checked before it goes on the shelf. This collection covers the RX350, ES350, GS430, SC430, LS430, LS460, and the hybrid RX450h and ES300h, so you can find the right match for your VIN without digging through spec sheets.
RX350 and ES350 U660E automatics
The RX350 and ES350 share the same transverse six-speed, the U660E. It's a Front Wheel Drive unit, and it also shows up under the hood in AWD form depending on the trim year. Ours comes with mileage in the 45K to 55K range and gets a compression test before listing. You can see the current RX350 unit here if you want the full spec sheet.
This is usually the easiest swap on the list. Parts are common, shops know the unit well, and pricing tends to sit in the middle of the range compared to the RWD options below.
GS430, SC430 and LS430 RWD gearboxes
Older RWD Lexus models, the GS430, SC430, and LS430, all ran the 3UZ V8 paired with the same Rear Wheel Drive automatic. Part numbers 30A20 and 30A60 cover all three, so a unit pulled from an SC430 will bolt into a GS430 without much fuss.
That interchangeability is worth knowing if you're cross-shopping. A lot of sellers only stock one of these three, and you end up paying more just because the listing happens to say "GS430" instead of "SC430." We keep all three on this page so you can compare. Check the GS430 unit for current stock and pricing.
RX450h and ES300h hybrid units
Hybrid transmissions work differently, so we're calling them out separately. The RX450h runs a 2GR-FXS hybrid transaxle, and the ES300h uses the smaller A25A-FXS eCVT. Neither one is a direct swap into a non-hybrid car, and vice versa.
If you're not sure which one your VIN needs, don't guess off the model name alone. Hybrid trims and standard trims often share a body but never share a transmission. The RX450h hybrid unit listing has the full fitment notes.
Which Toyota models share the U660E
The U660E isn't exclusive to Lexus. Toyota used the same transaxle in the Camry, Highlander, Avalon, and Sienna, all with the 2GR-FE V6. That's good news if you're comparing prices, since it widens the pool of donor vehicles and keeps used unit pricing more competitive than a Lexus-only part would be. We stock the Toyota side of this too, on our Toyota transmissions page.
RWD vs AWD cases
Not every RX350 or ES350 case bolts up the same way. RWD Lexus models like the LS460 use a longitudinal case built for Rear Wheel Drive, while the RX and ES line runs transverse cases built for front-wheel or all-wheel drive. Mixing these up is one of the more common mistakes we see from buyers working off a part number alone instead of the actual VIN. If you're dealing with a longitudinal RWD case, the LS460 transmission is a good reference for what that case looks like.
Matching a transmission to your engine
A transmission is only half the swap. It has to pair with the right engine code, or the electronics won't talk to each other correctly. If you're sourcing both pieces, it's worth checking compatibility before you order either one. We carry matching engines too, and our Lexus engines collection lists which transmission pairs with which motor.
Testing, warranty and freight
Every transmission on this page gets pulled, inspected, and compression tested before it's listed. We note mileage on each product page so you're not buying blind. Units ship with a warranty, and freight runs through our standard shipping process nationwide.
If you're also cross-shopping other JDM brands, we carry an Infiniti transmission lineup and a Q50 transmission selection as well, in case a Lexus fit doesn't end up being the right call for your build.
Lexus transmission FAQ
Will a Toyota Camry U660E work in my RX350?
In most cases, yes, since the case and gear ratios match. It's still worth confirming the exact year range with us first, since minor revisions exist across model years.
What's the difference between GS430 and LS430 transmissions?
Mechanically, not much. Both use the 30A20/30A60 family. The main thing to check is the bell housing and sensor placement, which can vary slightly by year.
Can I swap a hybrid transmission into a non-hybrid Lexus?
No. Hybrid transaxles are built around the electric motor integration and won't function correctly without the matching hybrid control system.
How do I know if my car is RWD or AWD before ordering?
Check your build sheet or VIN decode. We're also happy to confirm it for you if you send over your VIN before you order.
